SUBJECT: REMAINING EVENTS IN 2016/2017 ACADEMIC SESSION

It has been observed that six weeks into the 2016/2017 second semester, some Lecturers are yet to commence Second Semester Lectures.
The purpose of this memorandum is to draw your attention to the remaining events in the Second Semester 2016/2017 Session as follows:
MAY
Thursday 11. - Deadline for checking of results by Heads of Department
JUNE
Friday 23. - Lectures end
Monday 26. - Revision begins
Friday 30. - Revision ends
JULY
Monday 03. - Departmental examinations begin
Friday 07. - Departmental examinations end
Monday 10. - Examinations for inter-faculty and interdisciplinary courses begin
Monday 24. - Examinations for inter-faculty and interdisciplinary courses end
End of 2016/2017 Session and Students vacate Campus
AUGUST
Monday 14. - Last day for submission of second semester results to the Department. Processing of results begin in the Department.
Friday 25. - Last day for submission of second semester results to the Registry (Examination). Processing of results begin in the Registry.
SEPTEMBER
Thursday 18. - Deadline for checking of results by Heads of Department.
Monday 25-Friday 29. - Faculty Boards meet to consider and approve final year students results
OCTOBER
Wednesday 25. - Senate meets to consider and approve final year results
From the above, we have only eight weeks before Second Semester Examinations begin. Kindly bring this information to the attention of the Academic Staff in your Faculty/Department for their necessary action.
